Bosnia/Croatia border on coast road
I'm heading down to Croatia for a couple of weeks in September, and looking at the map it seems that if you go straight down the coast road to Dubrovnik you pass briefly in and out of Bosnia.
Has anybody travelled this route recently, and if so what have you done about insurance. My UK policy covers me for Croatia but not Bosnia. I understand it's possible to buy cover for Bosnia at the border, but do they bother checking on this road, given that you're only in Bosnia for a few miles? |
Don't worry about a thing, its so small it will not matter, I have been along that road, I did go into Bosnia and yes you can get insurance at the border but that little stretch of road is nothing to worry about at all. You will not need to get insurance for that bit.

Thanks for the information. I'll probably hop across the islands on my way south, so I only need the worry about the border on the way home anyway.

I was there in July 2006:
Easy border crossing, I only show my passport. In just seconds, I was riding again after jumping the cars queue. |
