Buying a tenere in Germany
 

I am going to Germany in June to buy a xt tenere. My German friend told me that you have to live in Germany in order to register it in your name. How would I go about exporting the bike. What about insurance if I am exporting. Any advice would be appreciated.
I currently live in Norway and I might be importing the bike to Norway, all depending.

there are so called temporary export plates available in Germany for vehicles that will be exported. They are normally used by tourists from middle east who buy their Mercedes Benz in Germany and drive it back to Beirut...
I don't know how it works and how much it costs. Your Germnan friend could find out all the possibilities by calling the local vehicle registration office.
