Carnet Confusion
Hi All,
I'm hoping to hit the road in 3 weeks - Greece, Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon. Does anyone have the most current info on whether I'll need a Carnet de Passage? Thanks! |
Greece no, Turkey no, but the rest of the countries I havent been to, so I do not know.
But I dont think it will be like they´ll change every week or month, whether or not a country is in the carnet system or not, so I believe that information will be easy enough to get. And maybe best to get it from some official source, too, like the automobile association in your country, and if it will be needed, thats where you´ll need to apply to get it anyway. |
Somewhere on this site is a list of all the countries and whether or not they require a carnet. Can't remember exactly where, I'm afraid! I'd be looking into it quickly though, if it takes anything like the time it takes to get a Carnet in the UK where you are, you're already too late!

hi,
click the link below to see the countries where you need carne de passage. RAC Know-How - Going on a journey - Driving abroad - Carnet de Passage hope this helps |
carnet not needed
you do not need a carnet for either of these countries. Syria and jordan might make u pay for insurance, et Lebanon is free for all.
