Carnet Extensions.
 

Hi All,
HELP!!! This carnet business is doing my head in! I"m planning-no sod that- I AM going RTW and expect to take 3-4yrs doing it. But from what I gather, a carnet lasts 1 year and can be extended for a further year. So what about years 3,4,etc? Same problem seems to apply with medical insurance.
As many of you have done extended RTW trips, I'm hoping someone can clarify the situation for me. Also, when extending a carnet, do I have to re-guarantee the deposit? Cheers Del Boy.

May I suggest you telephone Sue Collins or myself @ RAC Bristol ( 01454 208000)so we can advise you how the carnet scheme operates for extended/RTW trips of more than a year duration.

Paul, it sounds like you might be the man to talk to. I think the answer would interest a number of people reading this so I'd ask that you answer here in the forum or at least post a link to some clear and definitive information regarding this.
