carnet for South African bike, do I need one?
 

Hi I have a bike lined up to buy in SA from a mate. we are going to basically do a lap around zimbabwe. We will go through:

mozambique
zambia
malawi
botswana
And back to SA.

can anyone tell me if I will need a carnet for Malawi, Botswana, and Zambia?? I know for mozambique I can just get a temporary import permit at the SA/Moz border for a fee (kinda the same as a carnet I guess but somehow different)

If anyone can please help let me know

You won't need a carnet for any country South of Tanzania. So you don't for your trip...
