Carnet for Turkey (non-European vehicle)?
I'm getting conflicting information: read that CDP not required for Turkey, but then that that applies only to a European-registered vehicle (what about North American/ Oz/NZ etc.etc.?)
My vehicle is registered in Oman. I want to get to Europe without a CDP but if one's needed for Turkey, I've got a problem. Any advice, please? |
Similar situation here, driving an Indonesian registered vehicle into Europe...
Any thoughts if Carnet is needed at the Turkye border? |
Carnet not required for Turkey, irrespective on country of vehicle registration.
In 2002, Turkish Customs introduced a " vehicle free entry-exit form" issued at the border to allow temporary import of all private & commercial vehicles. In October 2007, RAC were advised the following by AIT Customs Secretariat,Geneva: The Turkish Customs authorities confirm in their letter of 27.9.07 that at borders equipped with computer systems there is no need for the entry-exit form and no fee is charged for the temporary importation of private and commercial vehicles. However, at borders without computerization, a document is still needed. Regards Paul |
