Carnet with no exit stamp
Hi,
I am getting my car shipped to Egypt from Jordan. I now have my carnet back (the full page) but without an exit stamp. I read some forums and it seems at most this could result in a delay getting money back, but given Entry stamp in the next coutry technically no issue should exist? Is there any record of entry refusal in the following country without an exit stamp in the carnet? Kind regards, Fred |
I got the stamp after the clearing agency in Jordan manage to convince customs after a long struggle. The problem was basically that border entry/exit procedures are different from freight shipping procedures, and while your container is already cleared by customs, it has not left the country yet so customs get a bit excited about stamping a Carnet with the vehicle still in a container inside the country.

:oops2: Can be a problem as the country with no exit stamp can claim customs duties...
Write to both the customs people in that country and your carnet provider .. with proof that the vehicle left the country ... eg copies of the entry to the next country carnet page |
