Central Africa Republic??
My search didn't turn it up, but someone said it is possible to buy a visa that allows you to transit those several countries on the one visa. I don't remember the details. Can anyone clarify or verify, or was it just my imagination making me read what I wanted to see? We have added up the visa costs for doing the coastal route from Morocco around to South Africa and back up to Kenya where we ship to India and it came to nearly $2000.00 USD. We are prepared to pay that amount, but if we can trim a bit off here and there we will. Some countries offer a transit visa for less, but don't say on that website how long the transit is good for. Someone who has done the trip recently could post it here and help beginning RTW's such as we are a whole lot.
Thanks much Joe |
visa d'entente
Hi Joe,
I think you mean the visa d'entente, which covers a number of West African countries. search the Hubb for 'entente'. Rob |
Thanks Rob,
I did the search and found the good news. The only place listed north of those countries is ouagadougou in Burkina. Hadn't planned on that route since we are riding a scooter, but if the roads are half paved and not sand we can manage from Senegal to Bamako to Burkina and bypass Guinea and Ivory Coast into Ghana. Now will have to search the site for those roads. My maps only show them, not the type or condition. thanks again. joe |
