Changing Registration of US Registered bike in south america (non Us resident)

Ok Here is my Dilemma, I have found a bike i would like to buy. Its is currently being ridden down from north America (Florida) to Beanies Aires. It was registered to a dutch guy in Florida.

My questions are:

1) Can i change the reg into my name without going to north America?
2) if so what is the best/ easiest country to do this?
3) How do i Do it?
4) if the answer to all the above is NO What can i do?

Have you tried a search on this site? Your question is asked a lot here, and it is often answered....although the answers vary a lot in attitude, completeness and accuracy.

Hope that helps.

Unclear

Hi Mark, Yes I have trawled the forums looking for information on this subject and have read everything that i have come across, but as you suggest the information is often unclear and very mixed, which at times is a good thing but not in this case.

Also I have not really come a cross anything about changing a reg from one Non-US Resident to another Non-US Resident.

Thanks for the advice though

Ok, here's a strong hint: Photoshop is often involved in such transactions....to which some people have objections, others do not. On occasion, international couriers are used to ship documents, but this works only in certain states and certain situations, not in others. Look up the rules for Florida via Google and figure out whether it's going to be possible or not. This has nothing to do with what country you're in, and everything to do with where the bike itself is registered.

The search function on this site is somewhat useless, but fer godssakes people are doing this every day, give or take. I'm not a jerk (most days of the week); I merely got tired of answering your question repeatedly. Apparently, everyone else is tired of answering too, or you'd get more responses.

Repeat: Photoshop is your friend.

Good luck.

I fully agree with all markharf has said.

To get round the poor search function on this site, I often use Google and include "horizonsunlimited" as one of the search criteria.
