Which country in South America is best to purchase a bike for multi-country usage?

As the title suggests, I will be headed to South America in April and need help finding a motorcycle to purchase. I will be flying into Colombia or Peru, and can manage to get to wherever is best to purchase said bike.

-Which country should I purchase one in?
-Which country has the easiest paperwork process?
-Ability to ride said motorcycle into other countries with little-no fuss?

I am relatively new to the motorcycle world, but am a quick learner. I am not necessarily looking for a heavy duty bike, but I wouldn't be against one. From What I can tell, between 150-250cc would likely work well. I kind of like the idea behind this guy's perspective. Welcome to my C90 Adventures

I feel like a less expensive bike might be easier to fix as I travel through the continent. I saw a lot of posts that were similar, but I want to make sure my information is current and relevant.

Cheers!

Are you looking to buy new or used ( travellers bike ) ?
If you are looking to buy of other travellers then Argentina or chile are a good bet ,especially in the first few months of the year . Colombia is also a good place to buy travellers bikes at other times. If looking to buy a new local bike then Bolivia would be a good option
