Crossing borders in central america and mexico
 

So I read a while ago you can't take a financed bike into mexico and you need your bike title to cross the border. So I went to the bank and paid off my bike and got the paperwork saying I paid it off. Then I went to the registry to get the title and they had no idea what I was talking about. I live in alberta canada also. Do I need some sort of title to cross into mexico? Or is the registration paper fine?

You need to bring whatever piece of documentation proves your ownership of the bike. In most or all of the US, that means the title. In most or all of Canada it's my understanding that there are no titles so your registration document serves this purpose. So if Alberta doesn't issue titles, you just bring the registration in your name.
