EU/Balkans/Turkey green card/ one stop shop
Hi to all the old and new motorcycle and 4X4 friends from all over the world.
We (www.lobagola-mototours.com) have started a new project of EU green card/border insurance third party liability insurance coverage for inmates with bikes plated outside of EU or for the bike with EU plates. We're the only provider in EU that will provide third party liability insurance coverage for EU plated bike that is ridden or owned by non EU resident. Lot's of inmates and RTW travellers know me as owner of Lobagola B&B, motorcycle and bicycle travellers meeting point, and often acting as lighthouse in Balkans for inmates in need (service, repairs, shipping parts and tires are just a part of the menu). All the info about the EU green card third party liability policy, fees, etc, can be found on our website: http://www.lobagola-mototours.com/se...urance/eu.html We're guaranteeing upon receiving (08-15 h CET work days) the needed docs and forms to send the scan of the policy on the same day via email, and inside following 48 h we're shipping the original document either with air mail or EMS tracked shipping (price lists are also up there). If expedited service is needed, we have that option also for surcharge and we're shipping in couple of hours (24 h guaranteed) upon receiving all the documents and forms filled in correctly. We're full one stop shop, offering accommodation in our multiple award winning Lobagola B&B, provide green card coverage for EU, Balkans and Turkey, motorcycle storage in our 300 m2 underground warehouse where we store our own bikes and clients bikes. Motorcycles are stored on yearly or monthly base for the price of 45,00 eur/month, and we provide trickle charging and also a regular weekly engine spinning to allow the oil flow. http://www.lobagola-mototours.com/se...e-storage.html We can sort service, spare parts, tires and huge range of additional equipment working with all major suppliers in the country. All tires are delivered in 48 h max to our door. We're covering service of all major brands: BMW, KTM, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Yamaha either in official service centre or in trusted service stations managed by skilled mechanics. In case of hurry or major repair/breakage we're always taking people in front of the line, to ensure faster solution that will enable getting back to the road as soon as possible. If you would like to purchase a motorcycle in Europe and own it for a year, or couple of years, saving big time on renting or shipping, we're providing a service of bike purchase (finding, negotiating, and buying) and sorting all the paperwork, and insurance as well here in Croatia. There is wide selection of well maintained bikes in the market here, like Suzuki V-strom, Honda Transalp or Varadero, Yamaha TDM, or BMW gs 1150/1200. http://www.lobagola-mototours.com/se...-purchase.html We can also source light enduro bike for you if you're keen to ride TET (www.transeurotrail.org) amazing project we're so proud being a part of. I am serving as a linesman for Croatia and we can provide loads of mapping suggestion for riding in Balkans. Bikes that people are using for TET range from Suzuki DRZ 400, DR 650, Royal Enfield Himalayan, Honda Dominator, Kawasaki KLR, Yamaha TTR, Honda XR, Yamaha XT (older model), BMW x challenge, KTM enduro 525/530/640 adventure, Husquarna Enduro 701 etc. If you have inquiries please send it to: info@lobagola-mototours.com For the bikes that are bought through us, we can also provide full comprehensive insurance for a very competitive price for a period you desire to ride. Thanks, Dooby
Worked out very well getting our green card insurance from you this summer. Flew our bikes from Montreal to Dublin. Very easy transaction, and the cards arrived by courier in plenty of time. We are storing our bikes in Cork and will be back in the Spring, so we'll be giving you a holler when the time is near. Great Service, Thanks again! :thumbup1:

Motorcycle insurance in the UK with an International Driving Permit
Hi all
I am an Vietnamese student doing my master in the UK until January 2019. So this is a great opportunity for me to make some motorcycle trips in the UK and Europe during this time. I have bought a BMW R1150R from an Aussie friend when he had to come home. I have a Biometric Residence Permit and a UK address, so the bike is registered in my name. I found that it is complicated to buy an insurance with my International Driving Permit (IDP) I had done a lot of homework with several insurance providers and compare sites. However, only a few insurancers sell insurances for people with IDP with the expensive price, about 4,000 pounds/year. Its so expensive and of course I can't afford this insurance. Does anyone have any ideas for my cases? Any information will be appreciated. On the other hand, I am thinking about applying for a full UK license. It would take time and efforts but may be the only solution to be legal for driving in the UK with my case. Hope to hear from you guys. Thanks! |
Hi Dau,
Thanks for stopping by in our thread. We can support your journey all over EU with our third party liability insurance coverage. From spring next year third party liability for Balkan countries and Turkey will also be on offer through tailor made system. You will be able to choose countries that you want to ride depending on your time frame, this will save money and cause much less stress because you can just show at the border and enter. Now many of the border crossings in Balkan countries and Turkey do not offer third party liability insurance policy also known as green card insurance or border insurance. We're offering 15/30/90 days time period. By using our border insurance policy you will also be insured in the EU country where your motorcycle has been registered in (UK i presume). We're the only provider in Europe offering this option, so from the second you jump on your motorcycle your policy is valid and you're covered. All the info is on our website: http://www.lobagola-mototours.com/se...urance/eu.html if you have any other question, just post it here and we'll be all over it  Cheers Dooby |

Riding and driving season is in full planning mode :thumbup1:
Plans are laid out, routes created and needed paperwork sorted in time (hopefully) :mchappy: We have prepped new products and green card insurance segment on our website that will be launched from March 1st. Also some news on time window for starting the issuance of the EU border insurance policy, we have managed to extend the time window, so to be able to provide the issuance much earlier then it was in previous years. Precise time window will be announced next week. If anyone is willing to ride off the pavement in Europe, then please check TET -amazing project that we're also part of: Home - Trans Euro Trail (please join the forum too !) Being a linesman for Croatia, we're as always ready to support your plans either in front or during your visit to us, staying at our Lobagola B&B Lobagola B&B | design bed & breakfast in the center of Zagreb http://www.lobagola-mototours.com/ https://www.pinterest.com/LobagolaMotoTours/ If anyone has photo's to share from their ride in Europe, Balkans and Turkey etc, then please do so :thumbup1: Any questions, just email us at info@lobagola-mototours.com Cheers Dooby |
Some news regarding the earliest start to send us the documents for the EU green card insurance policy.
We have managed to step up the starting time period from 30 days up to 50 days before the starting date of the policy. You can send us the docs and forms much earlier than that but we cant issue the policy before these 50 days ticks from your starting date. This will enable more relaxed time management and cheaper shipping is going to be used more bier . Rgds Dooby |
Green card insurance
50 days ahead will be nice, although I've not had any problems with 30 days with you. Both times I've purchased insurance with you, I got all the paperwork at home in the US well before heading to Europe to ride. Thanks for your great service!!

Hi Laura,
Thanks for your support, and appreciate using our services year after year. Supporting community from our side, in any way we can :mchappy: Cheers Dooby |
This is the second time I have purchased Green Card insurance from Lobagola and highly recommend them. They respond quickly to all emails and process your purchase just as advertised, even sent me a tracking number for my paper policy. Other providers may say they are as good but, Lobagola has set a very high bar for service.
There is still more to this. When my motorcycle broke down in Zagreb, Dooby jumped into action helping me arrange repairs, juggled rooms so I could extend my stay at Lobagola B&B, found me a very nice motorcycle to rent so I could continue my trip while waiting for repairs, worked with the repair shop to stay on top of progress and kept me informed while I traveled. I could go on and on about the great people at Lobagola B&B, they are the best. Try and get that kind of service at your next B&B or hotel when things don't go as planned. I will be stopping there again on my way to Turkey, it is a great place to stay. |
Thanks Slowriding for your feedback!
It was great pleasure to have you a little bit longer as our guest, though unplanned, I am happy your bike was repaired and in the meantime you still have managed to enjoy riding in the Balkans, and that was riding a bike you have owned previously BMW RT :). As the provider of green card insurance policies, we really strive to provide community with the service based on in depth knowledge from our own travelling and current trends in motorcycle travel. We're waiting for you and all other motorcycle, 4x4 and expedition vehicle travellers. Cheers Dooby |

Well Dooby, I went to your new website looking for some basic information on rentals, purchase support, insurance and such, but all I found was a bunch of very attractive pages saying, in essence, nothing at all. Where are the lists of what you actually provide, with prices attached? Am I missing something? Thanks for any clarification!
Mark |
Hi Mark,
I really like your approach  "but all I found was a bunch of very attractive pages saying, in essence, nothing at all." so to keep things on track please show me the pages where there is no information on the mentioned services by linking each one of them and then I will politely reply to each link and inquiry and additional info you might need. Thanks :mchappy: BR Dooby |
I'm not going to bother with all that. I clicked the "home" link in your original post, then on "tours, rentals and training," then on "rentals." All I get is some vague information and an invitation to email you. Same thing on most of your pages (i.e., all the ones I'm interested in, like insurance, tours, etc.): I dead-end at a nice photograph, but no pricing, schedules, or anything else except some sort of "contact us." I don't want to contact you; I want information.
Plus the navigation from specific pages makes me return several levels, rather than letting me jump from one page to another. You're highly-regarded here, and I'm not trying to moan and whine--it's just that you're not providing what I'm looking for at this point. I like dense information, and am seldom looking for pretty photos except to illustrate specific text. Hope that's useful, and wishing you safe journeys! Mark |
Hi Mark,
Thank you for the explanation of your previous post. Insurance wise, EU is provided in detail, everything else is per inquiry, we do not sell packages that Axa underwrites as we want to offer clients an option to choose. We can't provide all the services on the website as global over landing community is using our service like providing logistics and paperwork to cross Iraq, Siria, Afghanistan this year. We can't provide fixed info on many of our services that are listed and many that are not listed as it's not realistic. Vehicle freighting is the same thing, we don't have fixed dates for containers leaving Orlando, or LA, but we ship tailor made to crazy locations and from crazy locations always trying to give the clients the best value possible. We as a niche provider only do expedition guided motorcycle tours (this info is on the website). Meaning no prices will ever be listed, there is no package to be sold, there is no fixed starting dates etc. Drop ins are not accepted, we don't test anyone's skill level, it's up to a group of riders to be able to measure themselves as a group and we will deliver as we always do. Ego maniacs are not welcomed at all. We only accept private groups, skill level needed is expert rider, daily riding ranges from 200-350 of off road KM. Rentals description will be amended and you're right about that part of the website. It will be amended to provide info that our rentals are aimed at our future clients that are considering to buy motorcycle in Croatia and own it for 2 years or more. For them it's a way to test the waters and see where the distances are from our premises and how practical is our location. We are not rental business company like many others are and we're not touring company like many others are. We are not into providing a fleet of BMW, or proudly sticking the BMW certified tour guide or instructor badge on the front page of the website. We ride a lot of off road and as a linesman for CROATIA's part of Trans Euro Trail, we would like to attract more riders to come and ride rural areas all over TET, and leave their mark in the community by spending locally. As for the website navigation, world is contextual nowadays and website is tailored in that way for the future attention of the user. On the other side I get that you don't like how some aspects are designed and presented, all good bier . BR Dooby |
Dooby, I have some of the same thoughts that Markharf mentioned. When researching for a trip, a quick collection of possibly helpful information is saved. Then many sites are deleted because of pricing, availability, location. If I need to go in several levels looking for what I need, I move on to the next vendor. For my first level of trip rental searches, I want to quickly see what bikes are available, total period cost, no mileage limits, and pickup location.
You do get excellent reviews from inmates. You do respond quickly on the forums. I was happy with your communications to me last year. And your response to Markharf was well written with much detail. I'm not sure what information Markharf was looking for. I want to rent (or buy/sell, if it's cheaper) for 4-6 weeks for Albania through Bosnia, Croatia..... this summer or fall. I want to go, ride, return home with what I brought. I don't want to store a bike. I've ridden Europe before, but never know if I will go back to ride again. I love it there, but don't want that obligation in this unpredictable global climate. I was directed to your site by an inmate. I was looking for a rental. I now understand that you are not really into the rental only business. |
