Expired Carnet Into Japan
 

Hey.
My Carnet expires in a few weeks.
We are in India and there is a tentative plan to head to Japan for a bit then home to Australia.

What are the chances of Japanese customs noticing the expiry date on the Carnet?
What are the implications if they do notice?

Can I renew easily if they do notice or do I have to renew before expiry?

Can I renew for just an extra 3-4months?
