Germany to Oz

Hi all,
After much deliberation research and difficulty i have decided to travel from Germany back into Australia rather than the other way round. How do I aquire a carnet in Germany - I plan to buy my bike there.

Contact the German Automobile Association ADAC. They offer carnets and to my knowledge for a slightly higher fee to non members as well.

When are you planning on riding to Oz? I'm thinking of going that way, leaving next April/May.
