Good idea or dumb idea?
 

I have read on the interent that Punta Arenas in Chile is a duty-free port. Would it be possible to buy a bike there, ride it around South America for a few montsh and then dispose of it again in Punta Arenas without the hassles of paying duty etc?
Can I buy insurance for the bike in Chile?
