Trading standards
Go and talk to someone at trading standards, citizens advice, insurance ombudsman? which? So annoying when you pay good money to (you think!) a professional company and you spend time and effort sorting something which shouldn't be. What's the problem with issuing a green card? Its not much to ask for, even required to travel where you have stipulated, unless you aren't insured for those places??? I'm just wondering whether to start arguing the toss with a bank........

Finally they have verbally admitted that they had "mis-informed" me in the emails and conversations leading up to taking my money and I am in fact not insured for any non-EU countries bar the usual. I have of course demanded an instant re-fund which they have denied stating the procedure is to send a letter to me after 5 days and following this they have another 28 days to provide a solution.
so my advice is to avoid Hastings Direct like the plague. Anyways I am waiting on tourinsure now so all should be fine bythe day. :mchappy: |
Glad it appears to be sorted, tell em you want compensating for your time, phone calls, money tied up and anything else you can think of for being messed about. How are you to re-insure if they have your insurance money.
I'd be tempted to tell em holiday will have to be cancelled because of lack of insurance and a claim will be pending......... |
