idp while travelling
 

Hi.

I am from the UK and am currently in India. I will be travelling to Vietnam soon. My IDP finishes soon. Can I get an IDP while outside the UK? or get one online? As I am not planning going back for a year at least.

I believe you have to physically walk in with your driving licence. That's how I got mine.

Assume you could get someone to walk with in with your licence and send it back to you

I get mine by mail now, ever since the local issuing office closed. It’s identical (meaning cheap-looking and amateurish), just a different branch of the American Automobile Association.

Don’t know how it works elsewhere, and don’t remember but assume I had to submit a copy of my actual license.
