IDP with Nepali drivers license

I am planning to mostly drive a motorcycle from Nepal to Turkey, and maybe even back home to Oslo. I don't have a Norwegian drivers license. I've been living in Kathmandu for the last three years, so I took one here.
Can I have an IDP made with a Nepali license? Where would I do it, and could I eventually have this made into a Norwegian license?

I would also like to have insurance in order throughout my trip, especially if I choose to enter the EU. Would there be any problems when my original drivers license is from Nepal, or will they only take my IDP into consideration?

IDP is usually/ supposed to be issued by the national (Nepal) automobile assoc of the country that issues the original license, address & Kathmandu tel listed in above post...try, anyway.

Eventual conversion Nepal to Norway license would depend entirely on Norway licensing (transfer) rules.
