Indian Visa requirements
Hi,
I am British and trying to apply for an Indian visa online. The application form requires a port of entry and I will be coming in overland from Kathmandu. Does it matter that I will be coming in from another direction or is this just a general question similar to the Pakistan visa application? When I am in India can I extend if I need to as the evisa is only valid for 30 days? I would apply directly at the embassy but the Pakistan embassy still has my passport and I am due to fly out next month. Thanks |
I don’t know exactly but when I applied for a visa last summer on line applications were only for flights. Overlanders have to go through Gerry’s which is the company appointed to handle applications. It took 2 trips to their office but was all sorted within a week.

When I applied for my Indian Visa (brit passport) in 2012 and 2013, I remember putting down Wagah as point of entry (I entered from Pakistan) but don't remember putting down where I had to exit, and if I recall correctly they didn't seem fussed. I think its a lot more relaxed than Pakistan visa requirements.
