Insurance and FCO advice
 

I’ve been trawling around the travel insurance webs sites for an overland trip through Iran, Pakistan, and India. They all seem to use a great caveat of ‘We cannot cover you to travel to any country against UK Foreign Office advice’. The FCO site says ‘the FCO advises against all travel to **parts** of the following countries’

Am I looking at the wrong companies or is this the norm? I’m concerned that should I need to make a claim the insurance will not be worth the paper it’s written on.

Anybody have any preferred UK insurers?
