Insurance for Australian vehicle in Europe

We're driving from Sydney to Eu in an Aus registered car and about to enter Turkey so starting to think about 3rd party insurance. Will the insurance it appears I can buy from the Turkish Touring & Automobile Club (says its "International Traffic Insurance (green card)") for 315Eu for 6mths cover me of the rest of Eu or do I have to buy separately at each border. Our proposed route is Turk-Greece-various bits of the Balkans-Italy-Austria-Czech-Germany-Denmark-Sweden-Norway-UK plus any bits in between

Sorry for starting a new thread but so far havent been able to find any recent info specifically relating to foreign vehicles into Eu.

Get it in Turkey if you can, the Greeks wouldn't sell it to me, neither would anyone else in Europe, except ADAC in Germany.

Buy insurance at the border

We bought Compulsory Insurance in Genoa, Italy at the AA office and at the border between Russia and Norway.
