Insurance for Iran
 

Hi,

I'm trying to get insurance for riding a UK bike in Iran. I've just spoken to Carole Nash but none of thier insurers will do Iran.

Does anyone know of another broker that will insure for Iran, or any other way of doing this.

I have already posted it in the past, but, I write it again for you:

you do not need to buy a insurance from England. Be sure that your present insurance cover all the EU. Then when you come to Turkish Border, you can buy insurance for Turkey (3rd party, compolsary) at around £10.

And when you come to Iranian border you can get an insurance for Iran (3rd party) for around £28 for a month.

So, you do not need to get one from here. All the insurances are available from borders.

How are you going to cover the cost of your carnet I went to the natwest to talk about them giving the carnet people a guarantee of the amount of my bike's worth x 5 for Iran and they have quoted me £260 for the priveledge of them putting a stamp on the RAC form..if they have to pay out to the carnet people I will have to pay out to the bank..so for the life of me I cant get my head round the costof the stamp which would pay for all accommodation and meals while I'm there I would be interested if you managed to get cheaper cover
