Insurance in UK
 

Hi
I've got a friend coming from NZ to visit me here in UK,I was planning to loan him a bike
but my Insurers won't let me add him to my policy,and other company's will only insure UK
residents,and UK licence holders so I've hit a bit of a wall,
Has anyone else had this problem?and have you found any way round it,I'd be very grateful for any advice on this problem.

My Brother-in-law from Romania recently stayed with us for about 2 1/2 months. I was able to put him on my car insurance without any problem. However, we could only only do this for 30 days at a time to a maximum of three months, which was fine for us it and only cost £6.00 for each 30 days.

This was car insurance of course not bike, some bike policies don't include for named riders whether UK or not, you may have to take out a separate policy.
