International Driving Permit
 

Hi,

We are taking a trip through northern africa and can't remember if the permits are in the cars or if we forgot them. We are already in Europe and can't get new ones.

I have scans of the first page and the picture page but not the middle pages. I was hoping someone could scan their middle page on a AAA issued IDP so that we could have a full digital copy of the permit in case someone asks. I know there are many pages in different languages, just 1 or 2 would be great.

Also, if someone knows if we can get IDP in Europe with US licenses, that would also be helpful.

Appreciate you may have received a reply direct to your email address.

Please note, an International Driving Permit (IDP) can only be issued in the country where your national licence is issued, therefore back in USA via AAA offices. You wil not be able to source IDPs to be issued against a US licence anywhere in Europe - sorry.

In addition, please be aware you should carry original documentation with you at all times - scans/copies not usually acceptable to European law enforcement officers !

Do not be tempted to apply for an IDP/IDL via numerous websites who say they can issue
(& at hugely inflated cost) - these are counterfeit/non-legal suppliers & could land you in more trouble if presented in lieu of your US national drivers licence !!
