Namibia visa for a danish citizen
 

Hey guys:

Does anyone know if I can get a visa (transit visa will do) at the Namib border, comming from Angola? I would like to avoid going to Luanda for a visa if at all possible.

I have travelled there once by plane and once by Bike from South africa.

I never needed a visa ( I am Irish) and I dont think you will need one either.
I know another Irish guy who went through from the Angolan Side and he didnt seem to have any problems either.

Normally only visas are issued nowadays if you have a proof of a return- or onward ticket. Now, how visas are handled if people pitch up by on the land route, I don't know. I flew my bike down to Cape Town last year. Generally you shouldn't meet any probs. A 3-month visa is what is normally issued. An extension is possible.

Have you got a carnet? NAM and S.A. belong to the group of countries that expect a carnet for a vehicle temporary import.
