Need help urgently in Cape Town

I bought a motorcycle in Colombia, rode it to Punta Arenas in Chile, and sold it there at the Zona France.

I'm now in Cape Town for a trip across Africa from Cape Town to Nairobi and back. However, I ran into a problem -- the rental bike I was planning to get is no longer available due to unforeseen circumstances. So, I'm instead trying to buy a motorcycle here. Applying for a TRN is a long and unreliable process, and so I found a different method.

I can register the bike on a South African citizen's name. I found out that I just need a South African citizen's ID and proof of residence to register the bike. Then, I can get a police affidavit authorizing me to ride the bike across borders. I'll also make a contract relieving them of any liability. For example, if I get into an accident, I will be completely liable and not the registered owner.
