no 5+ year old bikes in Senegal?
Howdy,
Just got my carnet. It was accompanied by a letter from the FIA saying bikes more than five years old are not allowed in Senegal. This applies to temporary and permanently imported vehicles, whether under a CPD or not. Anybody have information whether this is true? Was hoping to hit Senegal in a couple of months and sell my xt there, as well. Brian |
Forget all about selling the bike i Senegal. The deposit for the carnet will be withheld, and so will you..... in Senegal. They stamp the import of the bike in to your passport. If you try to leave the country without the bike.... une grave problem...
