Overland,temporary insurance??
Going overland with Enfield from india to Netherlands. Does anybody know a good company to temporarily insure the bike during the trip.
Leave within 2 weeks so quick reply will be appreciated thanks bart van linden |
Compulsory Green Card may be available at an AA office in a large Turkish City. I got mine for a year in Izmir - but that was in 1989. Things may have changed...
The Greeks will probably want to see it. Do you have a carnet? ------------------ Salut from Southern France, the bikers' paradise, Peter. |
You can't get insurance for the BIKE for most of that trip. Liability - green card - should be arranged in your home country before you leave.
You DO need a carnet. AND you can't get a carnet for an Indian registered bike as a foreigner. Do some research on the site - "enfield, carnet" and start reading. ------------------ Grant Johnson Seek, and ye shall find. ------------------------ One world, Two wheels. www.HorizonsUnlimited.com |
I know i nead a carnet. Fortunately there are ways around it. I'll know for sure in a couple of weeks. More guys have done the trip without carnet. have india insurance but is same as toilet paper

Insure it at each border, don't have an accident, and if it's written off/stolen then you've lost it...
That's my way, anyway! Sam. |
