Overlanding with car paperwork in different name?
I have the opportunity to drive from Spain to South Africa (west route) in a Land Cruiser (German License Plate) that is not in my name but I do have a Notarised document (German, Spanish, French and English translation) explaining the the named owner gives me permission to drive his vehicle through any country unconditionally.
Do you think this can work and I do accept that its another complication with boarder crossing etc. but will it work? Any feedback would be really appreciated? Regards, Anthony |
I travelled in west africa on a motorcycle in the same situation. I was only asked once (entering Morocco) for showing my apostille saying I was allowed driving and cross borders on the bike. So I think you will be fine as long you carry the necessary documentation.
