pakistan visa 2010
 

Hi all
currently in India and sadly having to think about coming home. German friend's of hours have had to send their passports back to their home country to get Pakistan visas, Delhi embassy no longer issuing to Germans. Have tried contacting Pakistan embassy in Delhi with no luck in order to find out if this is the same for all nationalities. As any body got any info?

Got mine in Kathmandu, I had to go to the UK consulate to get a letter of no objection first then to the Pak consulate and got it in a couple of days.

I was refused earlier in Bangkok and told I had to get it in my home country so Nepal worked ok for me but this was a couple of years ago.

I got my Pakistan visa also in kathmandu. As an Aussie, no letter of invitation was required:clap:

It's been like this for quite a few years now I think: German citizens who wish to enter/exit Pakistan on a landborder are not given a visa. This is because the German government urges the Pakistani embassies.

I'm German & applied for a Pakistan visa in London, because I used to live there. I remember it took longer than normal, and they wanted to have all sorts of proof of address. But I finally got it – guess I was lucky:

When I asked the German embassy for a letter of approval (for the CHINESE visa back in 2008), they saw that I wanted to enter Pakistan from China – and the German embassy lady said "well... you probably won't need a Chinese visa, because you won't be able to get the Pakistani one anyway". To which I said that I already had it. She was absolutely amazed that I got a Pakistan visa & said that normally, you'll only get this if you plan to enter/leave by airplane.

So maybe you could try to apply for an "enter by airplane" visa – though you might need to present flight tickets for that, not sure.

thanks for the comments also have Swiss couple in Agonda with they have also been told to apply in their own country s people here are having to send they passports home to apply!

Hope the two of ya are well, wish we were on Agonda beach with you :)
We got ours in Delhi but that was in March, not sure I will still be the same? We had to have an interview and during it it became very apparent that the consul made the final desicion regardless of any "offical" line!!!
We had to get a LOI/LNO from the English embassy (£25 I think) and we took a letter from these guys Lost Horizon Treks and Tours - Northern Pakistan's friendly, professional tourism experts
