Pakistan visa in India for uk passport holder?
Hey there!
I'm planning my big trip to go through the Americas, then ship to Thailand, go through India and then home from there. If I apply for a Pakistan visa in my home country (uk) it will have run out before I even get there, has anyone else managed to get the Pakistan visa whilst in India? Can a passport be sent home or to an agency? Any info will be gratefully received! |
You can have the visa start at a later date but make sure they know this! They may require a separate letter. We got ours post dated in the states for 4 months later.
Normally you can't get the pak visa outside your home country. Another alternative is have it processed later & mailed to you if you have a 2nd passport. |
Hi Niello,
I guess I'll explore the post dated option. My main problem is that I'm doing the Americas first and I won't be in a hurry! so everything will have expired by the time I get there, and if I can't pick up a visa in India I'm knackered. |
Just a thought …
Especially as you seem to have a fairly 'open' itinerary (always the best sort): when you ship your bike from wherever in Americana down to Thailand, you will no doubt follow on aboard a flight to the same destination (presumably Bangkok). Rather than flying east -to- west, why don’t you consider flying west -to- east and stopover in the UK along the way. You could then arrange your visa during a slightly extended layover time in England .. and afterwards onward fly down to Thailand with a freshly issued post-dated Pak visa in your passport? An option worth considering IMHO. All the best with whatever you decide. Keith |
