paperworks for a Czeck bike, back in France
 

Hye,

I'd like to get one of these nice and old JAWA bikes in Prague. Some czek native already told me it would be easy and cheap to get one, but I just wonder about sorting out paperwork and insurance, registeration test... I'd like to bring it back in France, but would probably go around Eastern Europ before.

Does anyone knows about such paperworks, and especially french ones for a foreign bike?

Hi Vince,

Two possibilities:

1. the model has been imported officially into France. No problem, you write the the French Jawa importer for a certificat de conformite.

2. for other models you need to talk to DRIRE before buying the bike. I wish you good luck for that. You can't even ring them when they are supposed to be open.
