Proof of sufficient funds
 

Hi, I have been looking at the visa requirements (www.travisa.com) for north west africa e.g. Niger and Mauritania and it seems that some countries want proof that you have sufficient funds to sustain yourself in the form of a bank statement or some such document. I want to ask people who have been in this area if you have actually been carrying around copies of bank statments for this purpose?
