Just a quick note to help any of you wanting to sell vehicles and release the Indemnity/guarantee on your Carnet.

Earlier this year I sold my Land Rover in Zambia, I got the carnet stamped on leaving Zambia(Vic Falls border post), entered Zim on a temp import permit then returned to Zambia on a temp import permit, the guy who purchased then imported the vehicle. I Chose Zambia as I knew that import duty was only 15% of the vehicles value plus 17.5% VAT.
Anyone interested in doing the above, is free to contact me, I have friends in the country who may be able to help.

On my return to the Uk I returned my Carnet to the RAC and they released my Guarantee/indemnity.
