Russian visas
Quick question about Russian visas. I am planning entering Russia via Estonia travelling to Ulan-Ude then entering Mongolia. Staying about a week and returning to Ufa and heading for Sochi and getting the ferry to Trabzon, Turkey
I cannot see me doing this on a single visa and was wondering if I can get a visa to cover leg a and a second visa to cover leg b or am I going to have to cover long distances (no bother to me) and do it on a single 30 day visa. I am a UK passport holder so sadly cannot get the US 90 day visa Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk 2 |
You can't do your trip on a single-entry visa, as you'll be entering Russia twice (once from Estonia and once from Mongolia).
You'll need to get a business visa. For your trip, a double-entry 90-day visa should suffice. The next option is a multi-entry business visa for 6 or 12 months (although these visas don't actually allow you to spend 6 months or 12 months in Russia). |
Thanks for that. Will get a travel firm to sort it for me

I used Real Russia for my double entry Russian business visa and the Mongolia tourist Visa... it was easey peasey all done by post, just do a search. There loads of info on the Hubb about the Russian double entry business visa.
Don't bother with the Trabzon-Socchi ferry just ride through Georgia, you don't need a visa for UK passport holders. You might want to check out Turkey's visa situation... we used to be able to get it on the border for 10 Euro's but it's recently changed. |
Thanks for that info. Will look into them now

I've used Russia Tours and Travel | Moscow St Petersburg Holiday Tours | Russian River Cruises | Go To Russia Vacations | Guided Group Trip | Express To Russia last year. Very easy via mail and very helpful people!

Thanks for the info
