Salvage Title S. America
 

I am thinking to buy a 1997 F650 BMW, and taking it to Argentina from California. It has a salvage title. Will any countries in Central or South America prvent me from bringing it through their country and will Argentina prevent me from registering it in their country since I will be moving there?

Here in Argentina its impossible to register a used foreigner bike even with the right papers and paying the import taxes the only way if you are an Argentine citizen moving back after living some years out, its call “Repatriación”.
To travel over here its not problem if your title looks real, custom it will give you 8 mouths Temporary Import, after that you need to take the bike out.
