You will be able to sell the bike but will not get a good price. The problem will be if you ever want to come back into the coubtry you will have problems.
You could check your bike out of the country at the border and then sell it in a border town. What year and model is your bike and how much do you want for it? |
And you'll lose the deposit currently collected at the time of temporary importation if you don't export the bike.

Hi Gary, Marv,
Thanks! I will sell it to an American who wants to leave the country to, back to Chile. So, I will have to do 3 things probably: 1. dutch papers on his name 2. my temporary import paper should be on his name, bc he wants to leave the country as well 3. if my passport is stamped, get it signed by customs or something so I can get out of the country (I will fly away from Mexico City). 4. see how I can get the deposit back (maybe blocking my credit card or something) I want to sell my bike in Puerto Escondido. Any ideas what are good cities to sell? Cheers and a lot of thanks for the comments! Ben |
