Selling a motorcycle in Indonesia - Paperwork and Carnet ?
 

Hi everyone,

I am sorry if this has already been answered, but I can't find any up-to-date information and I require your help.

I will be finishing my trip in Bali in a few weeks, and I was wondering if I could sell the bike instead of sending it home, here is my situation.

-Bike is registered in France, and I entered Indonesia with a Carnet.
-3900€ deposit for the Carnet
-I found a boat to send it back to France for around 1000 euros
-Bike value is about 2000 euros.

So I was thinking about selling it in Bali instead of shipping it back. It would save me a lot of money, I think.

My questions are : is this legal, would I get all my deposit back from the French Automobile Club if I show that I paid all the taxes, and what are the steps to do so ?
