Don't know ... but others have said that bikes must be no older that 5 years ... you may have a problem there?
As my bike is way older that 5 years I'm not going to senegal. Got enough to see elsewhere. |
hi !!
Well , Its getting harder these days. Average bribes are now 100-200 Euros (as of 5th Jan in Diama) . Still possible thou Convoys which leads you to Gambia runs at 250 euros .. plus all the hassle of carriying a Senegalese policemen in your car. When bribing your way into Diama , you get a Passavant (ussually 7 days's worth) and NO vehicle details written on your passport. Entering via east or south is much much easier . They don't ussueally enforce the law .. or if they do .they only ask for 5000-10000 CFAs . They dont't write details in the passport either. of course , if you have a carnet , o a vehicle lesser than 5 year old ,then there's no problem at all. good Luck |
Thanks for the info
How does it work with the escort, do you just negotiate it at the border and take one of the guys along? Andy |
