Tunisian border insurance
 

Greetings!

I'm planning a trip to Tunisia from Malta and sadly my local insurance company is not issuing a Green Card for Tunisia.

I've read something about getting an "assurance" at the border and was wondering if anyone has any more info about it. Mainly the cost of it. I will be staying in Tunisia for 8 days.

I'm going to "bump" this question up to the top of the pile because I am considering visiting Tunisia this coming January (2019) on my Canadian-plated motorcycle.

Can anyone tell me what the procedure (and approximate cost, if known) for getting temporary insurance coverage for a foreign motorcycle in Tunisia is?

I am hoping it will be similar to the procedure for getting temporary coverage to tour in other countries such as Morocco, Europe, etc.

I did try searching our forums, but have not found any information here.
