If you are getting a carnet in the uk it takes 4 weeks to arrive. It also took the RAC 2 weeks to ring me back after leaving a message on their answer phone (the phone never seems to be answered). by the time the paperwork is orted you need to give yourslef 7 weeks I would say to be sure. I can't get mine now so will have to try and blag it at the senegal border. Apparently you can still get an escort or a laissez passer there.

I've just sent my today to Paul Gowen. It takes almost two weeks to get the carnet. Two weeks no reply to e-mails and voice messages. But, anyway. I hope I'll get it before I go:)

It was two weeks to reply to messages, then quoted 4 weeks for carnet so 6 weeks in total. Fingers crossed for getting into Senegal and Gambia without one.
