UK Driving Licence in Russia
 

Hi Guys,

I am planning to ride from Turkey to Central Asia and Mongolia this summer.

I have Turkish and British driving licence. Does British driving licence valid in Russia or do I need to get International driving licence?

An International Driving Permit, used in conjuction with your regular valid drivers license is one of those things you are supposed to carry in most countries, but which you are unlikely to ever get asked for.

Given you can get it for a few quid in UK (unlike the $50 in Oz), why not get one. Nobody ever got into trouble for having too much paperwork
