I dont even know where to start looking for the visa'. Is there a site that advises on how to apply for all the visa' im going to need?

Do i need to find embassies for each of the countries in the UK?
I have no idea where to start really.

I would suggest that you plan your route listing all of the countries you hope to pass through, a look at other people's trip reports will give you an idea of what routes are possible, then Google the country's name followed by visa requirements and work your way through your list.
For instance "India visa requirement UK passport holder", if you include the word hubb with your search anything on here will come up, it might anyway.
Also check out the Thorntree Thorn Tree travel forum - Lonely Planet which has lot of useful info and look through the trip paperwork section here for details of carnet and other bureaucratic requirements.
Agencies such as Travcour- TRAVCOUR (UK) Ltd can helps get some of them and have a list of countries which require visas.

Does anyone know how accurate you have to be with regards to entry and exit dates from countries?

For example I get granted a months visa for iran but only spend two weeks there.... is this a problem?

Meet many UK.bikers here each month at this main destination and what you need is time,patience and proof to cover the expenses for some countries..

If you stay less or don't enter, nop...If it's a multiple visa, you can enter that country again if you need until the expiring date..


1-First make a list of the countries for which you can get visa at the bordergate or exiting country...Then best is to start with the last country that requires visa must at home country..You will be asked about the exit country visa in the app. forms.
A-You can buy your visa at any bordergate for TR.Will be stamped at your passport page..

2-Don't exceed your visa..If you do so, will face some fines (cash)while exiting and problems with the following application for that country.

3-Some countries give entrance/start dates which is the one you fill at the application form...Don't be at the bordergate before that date if you have a visa start date...

4-If you can, try to have the second passport..

Nope. Some countries, like Russia, have a definite start and end date but you do not have to enter on that start date. But, you MUST leave before the end date, I only used 15days of a 30 day single entry visa because I arrived on the 15th, but still had to leave by the 30th

You need to study your intended path of travel and check the visa requirements for each. I recommend a manual system, draw a time line from a to b. then make a slip of paper for each country along that line. The length of paper corresponds to the amount of time you need to use it by

For example, I buy a Kazakhstan visa, it must be used within 3 months, but it is only 30 days long. The strip of paper would be the equivalent of three months long with the last 30 days colored red

Do that for all your visas, slide then along the timeline and see how much space you have for plan changes. Sometimes you will see a specific point that cannot be moved, that is the target

So generally as long as you leave before the visa runs, and you enter after it has started it is ok?

Specifically OutYes.
Like the registration on a vehicle - it is valid from one date to another date .. you can use it any time between those dates (inclusive).. BUT NOT OUTSIDE those dates.

Ok brilliant it is just as I have had conflicting opinions on this, needed to be confirmed that is all.

Reading this article... it says I can apply for an indonesian visa on certain points of entry. Up to 30 days but this can be extended within the country?

Can anyone confirm this?

Suggest you contact the Indonesian Embassy .. they should be more up to date and correct? than the rest of us?

Where ever you apply for a visa you should try to scheduled it for any delays you may have ... that could delay your entry/exit. Keep the visa dates as wide and long as possible without inuring extra delays/fees. Sometimes it is better to apply along the way what you are more certain of the dates.

I have now managed to sort out most of my visa', with the exception of Iran. I was told to apply by post. Then as I had no response I called the embassy in dublin. Where they told me it was not possible to do it this way, and I had to do it through a travel agency.

Can anyone help me here?
