US bike insurance - Motor' Express want $910 for 3 mths!!!
 

I'm a UK national in need of insurance for my BMW F800GS for North America for 3 months starting mid July 2010. Can anyone recommend a good company?

The Hubb directs me to Motorcycle Express who now have a new online quote calculator which has boosted the quote from $425 to $910 for 3 months coverage for a 33 year old with a clean licence!!!

Hopefully there's an alternative.

Any assistance appreciated.

I used Progressive when I was over there, they will do you a quote as well. But, just recently, I needed a basic liability only insurance to re-register my bike and for one month they wanted $250, how stupid is that, it is beyond a joke.
