US Insurance requirement for Danish bike
 

I might be blind but I can't see anything on the hubb about it.
But do I need -by US law, a 3. party insurance in US for my Danish bike. And can I buy it at the US boarder.
I'm coming from Mexico entering US at Laredo very soon.
Neither DK embassy in US or US embassy in DK can come up with a clear answer.
