anyone up to date on brits in the usa ?
can get a free 90 day visa but can you extend it and just pay $7 atalaska/canada border crossings....

I too would like to know the deal with US visas .. . .can we obtain a longer than 3 mth visa before entering the US? Or are we best to enter under the visa waiver programme, get 3 months and then try to extend? At what cost/hassle etc?
BTW - we are both dual passport holders (UK/NZ) . .
any advice appreciated.
