Cheers James,
thanks for the help, just out of curiosity how long did it take you. and what do you think a realistic time frame is (minimum) thanks Bo |
Hola,
Impossible question to answer... It took me three and a half months to reach Peru from NJ, including a month in the states. That was fairly quick and meant largely skipping over Nicaragua and Panama. See Arne Bomblies' weblog for more info. How long it takes you will depend on where you start and what you want to see; get a guidebook or two and read some weblogs to determine what you want to do most. Six months would be reasonable for a one-way trip, but it all depends on the time and money you have. James |
I will reaffirm that a Carnet is not needed, as I am currently in Peru without one. It is also not needed even if flying into Ecuador. One piece of advice is leave plenty of time for Peru, at least 3 weeks, the place far surpasses anything in Central America. I only wish I had got here sooner.
