Right Hubbers!

We're in Bolivia, desperately trying to buy two bikes to take around bolivia and into argentina with the view to selling them in Argentina.

We have been to a few bike shops who have bikes for sale, none of which have number plates and are for 'la paz' use only. We are thinking whether it would be possible to buy these and some how obtain somepaperwork which would allow us to travel with them, especially as we will have paid for them and they would be 'ours'. Does anyone know if this is possible. In our minds tnobody really knows (or cares) where we brought the bikes so in theory we could have brought them in from some where else.

Secondly to this can you travel through south america without a number plate?

I hope some one can help because our riding dream is slowly dissolving away.
