Visa for Iran in UK
 

Hi,

New on this (excellent!) site and in the process of organising the paperwork for an overland motorcycle trip from London through the Middle East and on to South Asia (and beyond...).

Has anyone managed to get a visa for Iran directly from the embassy recently? Seems the only thing stopping us is the Letter of Invitation. Any ideas how I could get one without using a visa service?

I'm happy enough to use a visa service if I have to, but as they charge £100+ I am just hoping to save a few pennies and do the legwork myself.

Any help or advice greatly appreciated.
