Visa Touristique Entente ?

I will be travelling the Atlantic Route and need to apply for a Visa Touristique Entente before entering Burkino Faso. Where do I get hold of one?
Can I get it in the UK or should I obtain one at the Burkino Faso embassy in Mali?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Ian

Entry visa

I have also heard of this and according to the guys at KUDOS travel you get it when you are in burkina faso (i think thats where they said) - would be worth emailing them as they are very helpful and have up to date knowledge

It's not necessary, but certainly saves you money. The best bet would be to ask about it at the embassies of Burkina, Benin, Togo, Niger or Cote d'Ivoire. I got mine at the Togo embassy in Ghana.

Will feedback to the forum when we get back.
Have also decided not to bother with a carnet as the only country we need one (apparently) is Ghana and I know that you CAN get in without one. We have put together a portfolio of letters of support/invititaions from Ghanaian charities we are supporting, so we'll turn up at the border with a brosd smile and charm ouour way through (fingers crossed)
